Does the vacuum cleaner need a HEPA filter?

A HEPA filter can capture fine dust particles for use in a vacuum cleaner. It means no dust or allergens will enter the air after vacuuming, which is great for people with allergies or pets. But it can only capture dust particles of 0.3 microns or larger, and particles smaller than 0.3 microns will still enter the air. So do you need a vacuum cleaner with a HEPA filter?

Most vacuums with HEPA filters can remove 99.97% of 0.3 micron particles. For example: Dyson and Shark. Non-HEPA filters can remove 60% -95% of dust particles, which is still a big difference. HEPA filters are more expensive than non-HEPA filters, but they must operate under certain standards to obtain the effect of HEPA.

Benefits of using a HEPA filter:

Air quality can be improved slightly.

Prevent asthma or allergies. Using a HEPA filter can remove some fine dust particles and properly improve indoor air quality.
